Doulas & Reproductive Justice at Common Time!

SCSG’s first-ever Common Time event, Doulas, Birthwork, and Social Work Practice, was a great success! The panel event included three doulas from Ancient Song Doula Services, a doula training organization based in Brooklyn. The birth workers (two of whom were also social workers) discussed the barriers their clients face, both institutional and personal, to accessing effective and inclusive care. They also shared some of their favorite resources, including organizations like the Black Mamas Matter Alliance, The Doula Project, and the NY Abortion Access Fund.

For more information, we’ve put together a resource guide that includes relevant organizations, toolkits, and digital resources on birthwork and reproductive justice. Check it out here!
