Anita Kwok (she/her) is a first-year MSW student concentrating in Community Organizing. This past May, she graduated with a BA in Sociology and a certificate in Peace and Justice Studies. Anita is a native New Yorker from Queens. She believes that all struggles toward liberation are connected, which results in a myriad of interests. Some of the many subjects she is passionate about are public health, abortion rights, and fighting gentrification and displacement. As someone who is First-Generation and Low-Income, her goal as a Community Organizer is to build and support community power among marginalized, immigrant, and working-class communities at the grassroots level to alleviate systemic failures and institutional neglect. Anita is very excited to learn how to be an effective organizer at SCSG!
